Special Projects

Some driveline work is purely about performance. Other builds carry a bigger purpose, community collaboration, craftsmanship with meaning, and projects that reflect the values behind the work.

IEDLS Special Projects is a collection of those stories. These builds stand out because they connect the automotive world to something real: support, service, pride, and the kind of attention to detail that lasts long after the project is finished.

Metal of Honor Roadster

A 1932 Ford Roadster built from donated parts to support scholarships for the children of slain and disabled warriors, created through the IronMen Foundation and the larger automotive community. IEDLS was proud to be part of it from the very beginning.

Why Special Projects Matter

Special projects represent the intersection of precision work and shared purpose. They bring together builders, manufacturers, supporters, and organizations to create something that feels both personal and public, a reminder that the automotive world is still built on relationships and pride in the craft.

They also reflect something important about driveline work itself: the parts that matter most are often the ones that do their job quietly. They are trusted, relied on, and expected to perform without drama, whether the build is a daily driver, a race car, or a meaningful tribute like Metal of Honor.

Built With the Same Standards

Every project IEDLS contributes to is rooted in the same principles customers come to us for every day: accuracy, balance, fitment confidence, and long-term reliability. Whether a build is headed to a show, a track, or a long road trip, the driveline still demands the same core fundamentals to run smooth.

That consistency is part of what makes these projects worth sharing. They show the workmanship behind the scenes, not as a slogan, but as something that holds up under real use and real expectations.

Custom Build Support

Custom work is rarely simple, and that’s normal. Measurements change, parts change, ride height changes, and small shifts can create big driveline effects. When the setup matters, getting it confirmed early can save time, cost, and frustration later.
